I. Job Summary
The Reality Capture and CAD Manager will lead the development and oversight of WM's Enterprise Reality Capture and Autodesk programs, driving the integration of geospatial data to enhance business optimization, operational efficiency, and environmental compliance across landfill sites. This role is pivotal in advancing WM’s digital transformation initiatives by leveraging drone and CAD technologies to streamline reporting, improve data accuracy, and support strategic decision-making in landfill management.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Reality Capture & CAD Program Manager to lead and expand our enterprise drone program, a critical component of data capture and management across 300+ landfill sites using DroneDeploy. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of drone operations, including managing pilot training through third-party providers, administering user roles on DroneDeploy, and serving as a technical resource for the program. You will integrate drone-captured data with Esri to generate GIS-rich insights that enhance landfill reporting and support various operational and compliance initiatives. Additionally, you will drive process improvements for enterprise reporting related to landfill operations, such as automated capacity assessments and fill sequence accountability.
As part of this role, you will also lead the management and implementation of AutoCAD standards across all landfill sites through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as the account administrator. You will collaborate closely with landfill engineers and external consultants to ensure adherence to established CAD standards, enhance integration with GIS systems, and support automated reporting. Ideal candidates will have a background in landfill engineering, landfill gas management, or landfill construction, with strong expertise in CAD and GIS technologies. This position is remote and reports to the Corporate Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Landfill Geospatial Program Development : Oversee the strategic development of geospatial programs that align with corporate objectives and drive operational insights.
Program Evaluation & Improvement : Develop and apply evaluation methods to assess program strengths, identify areas for improvement, and ensure continuous enhancement.
Enterprise Solution Integration : Coordinate and integrate multiple complex projects, collaborating with senior management, various board and steering committees, functional leaders, and team leaders to deliver landfill business solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Problem Solving : Partner with internal and external stakeholders to address challenges, incorporate suggestions, test and refine solutions, and institutionalize improvements.
Process Improvement Leadership : Drive consistency and quality in implementing key business processes across the enterprise, with ongoing verification of improvements post-implementation.
Training & Development : Lead the development and execution of training programs to ensure effective adoption and sustainment of processes and technologies across landfill operations.
III. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience required.
Experience: Five years of relevant experience in dispatch, logistics or collections (in addition to education requirement) required.

IV. Work Environment and Essential Functions
Combination: This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $102,700-153,525. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 25% annual target bonus.
