Position Summary: While working under the direction of the Mailing Supervisor, the right individual will understand mailing requirements and its supporting paperwork, to include the operation of the following equipment. Camera matching inserters by Bluecrest and Bell & Howell will be the focus for this position with secondary knowledge of Ink jets and tabbers. The Inserter Operator continues to learn upon assignment to set-up and operate the lines of associated equipment to become a more skillful and versatile operator. Work Arrangement: This position is able to work onsite, at our Lansing Headquarters. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm An offer of employment with MSU Federal Credit Union and affiliates is contingent upon the agreed work arrangement (onsite/hybrid/remote) and work location. MSU Federal Credit Union may or may not be able to accommodate temporary or permanent changes to work arrangements or allow employment outside the city and/or state of residency in which the new hire resides at the time of offered employment. Follows routine procedures in the set-up and operation of equipment. Reviews the quality of the product continuously to meet the standard that is required. Maintains records with quantities, quality, and any other required information. Assists in the training of employees new to the department. Reports unusual conditions or circumstances to the supervisor or the person in charge. Makes final pre-run inspection of job and approves or confers with supervisor for approval. Operates or directs the operation of equipment in accordance with customers' schedule for job orders. Performs preventative maintenance such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments to rollers and other small moving parts. Operates of manual and battery powered pallet jack. Reads Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Sees to proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals. Operates or assists on other equipment as needed and when workload permits. Assists in cleaning up and keeping immediate work area neat and orderly. Complies with all OSHA safety requirements. Crosstrain and learn the lines of associate equipment, work on job assignments in other manufacturing areas as needed. Performs other tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 5-7+ years of experience in printing or other manufacturing fields Essential skills needed, experience working on inserters with camera matching capabilities including ink jet equipment with postal paperwork knowledge.
