Director, Product Owner, Digital SAT Weekend College Board - College Readiness Assessment Location - Remote, Hybrid About the Team The College Readiness Assessments (\"CRA\") division is a team of \35 mission-driven people who deliver the SAT Suite of Assessments (SAT®, PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT10®, and PSAT 8/9®) to millions of students across the world each year to help open their paths to college and life after high school. About the Opportunity As the Director, you will develop, maintain, and enhance a set of digital products aligned with our overall strategy to connect students and colleges in new ways that advance access and opportunity for students. You will be responsible for leading the development teams and prioritizing the highest-value work for our teams. Aligning with our strategic goals to remove barriers to accessing college entrance exams, free, high-quality practice and prep resources and to ensure that all students are connected with the SAT Suite of Assessments in a way that unlocks future college and career opportunities. In this role, you will: Product Ownership (50%) * In partnership with the Senior Director SAT Weekend product manager, define a strategy for a set of digital products and communicate that vision to our development teams * Finalize and make key design choices consistent with program vision and principles * Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to determine initial and ongoing piloting, outreach, and adoption strategy Partner with Technology and Engineering Managers (50%) * Ensure strategy is closely linked to product development roadmaps and leverage the digital product as a key tactic to deliver on program vision * Leverage data to inform product decisions, user needs and non-functional requirements to determine how we scale product * Work with Technology and Engineering Managers to make key design choices and technical requirements, and ensure that the development roadmap stays on track * Work in tandem with Engineering managers to prioritize enhancements, develops support, and backlog refinement About You You have... * 5+ years of combined experience in analytical, strategic, product development and product management roles * A demonstrated track record of supporting a medium to large-scale \'program\' from conception through completion, demonstrating multi-functional skills to make it successful * Thorough understanding of digital products including development processes, emerging technologies, go-to-market strategies, partnership integrations, etc * Committed to expanding educational opportunity * Ability to build relationships and work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders to identify the best possible solutions and achieve goals quickly * Comfortable dealing with uncertainty and able to make decisive calls with limited information * A compelling speaker who can inspire others to action * Works well in a collaborative environment and has experience working cross-functionally * Willingness to travel 3-5 times per year for College Board meetings or conferences * You are authorized to work in the United States About Our Benefits and Compensation College Board offers a strong compensation and benefits package that attracts top talent looking to make a difference in education. * Our robust benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance, paid time off, paid parental leave, retirement benefits with a generous matching program, and more. * We reward performance through annual bonuses and provide opportunities for salary growth over time through base compensation increases, merit raises and promotions. * We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact. The salary range for a new employee in this position is \$80,000-\$135,000.
