State of Michigan - Department of Treasury Data Steward and Governance Specialist in Lansing, Michigan
This position will serve as the Data Steward and Governance Specialist in the Compliance Division within the Bureau of Investments (BOI) and coordinate all data governance activities. The position will organize and lead BOI efforts to achieve Treasury data governance goals, including working with Treasury's Chief Data Steward to coordinate and plan data governance activities. The activities include developing and maintaining the BOI business glossary, data mapping and data optimization plan. This position is also responsible for participating in and/or leading special projects at the direction of management, and to research, analyze, and recommend industry standard data governance tools that will help guide and promote the BOI and Treasury's data governance initiatives. This position is also responsible for the completion of all BOI System Security Plans and other project artifacts to ensure that data requirements are being properly classified, and application risks and data governance is being addressed appropriately for the BOI. This position will also serve as the lead in coordinating and ushering investment transaction and negotiation workflows, as well as developing, maintaining, and updating workflows and procedures that allow for the efficient operation with the private market transaction management system. In addition, this position will serve as the BOI Records Management Liaison and support the BOI Chief Compliance Officer with the oversight of BOI record management, including compliance with retention schedules and prepare information for responses to Freedom of Information Act requests. Also, this position will cross-train with and provide backup support to the BOI Budget, Information Technology, and Human Resources Liaisons, BOI Compliance Specialist, as well as provide back-up data compliance support to the eFront Application Manager.
