Location Description Our plant, located in Lansing, IL, pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for a more safe product to the foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Continuous Improvement Engineer with continuous improvement initiatives. DUTIES AND RESPONIBLITIES: Assist Continuous Improvement Engineer (CIE) in identifying continuous improvement opportunities through critical thinking. Assist CIE with cross functional continuous improvement teams in the plant. Assist CIE with collecting necessary data to develop speed profiles. Assist CIE and Training Coordinator with updating process parameter standards to support a centerline methodology. Work closely with plant CIE to drive and deliver positive results on operations efficiency and the plant financials. May assist the production team when needed during special projects or general production. Data collection as required to be able to drive focused priorities. Assist in maintaining shift reports with plant CIEs and report out any errors on shift reports further improvement. This position requires the candidate to work both on the floor and in the office in order to complete specific projects. Oversee various components of the Redzone Production platform. Assist in coaching operations teams in various Redzone meetings to evolve the Management Operation System. Have some basic computer skills and experience with programs such as Excel, SAP, BW, and Tableau. Ability to lead cross functional teams during floor level RCA events. Ability to learn and coach on CI tools including 5Why and RCA Problem Solving, 5S, and Centerlining Ability to document process flows and collect appropriate data from the floor. Expected to adhere to safe work practices regarding food safety and human safety. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that displays professionalism. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to work independently, with little supervision. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. An Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two year technical training beyond high school in basic office skills, computer operations, bookkeeping/accounting or human resources, with a minimum of 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work well with all levels (be a team player). Strong attention to detail. Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts. Must be willing to attend off-site training. Must have the ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision
