TEKsystems Compliance Audit Manager -100% REMOTE - TRAVEL REQUIRED in Lanham, Maryland

As an Audit Manager, you spearhead our audit engagements with a blend of technical skill and leadership. You start your day strategizing with your team, ensuring audits are on track and adhering to budget and timelines. Your role involves developing business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and managing the audit department's budget. Each day is a mix of client meetings, team management, and ensuring that our audit services exceed industry standards.

  • Extensive Tax Knowledge: Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing C Corp, S Corp, and individual federal and state tax returns, with a strong understanding of current tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Client Advisory Skills: Strong ability to advise clients on complex tax matters, develop tax strategies, and effectively communicate solutions that meet client needs while expanding the firm's presence.

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring tax staff, fostering a collaborative team environment, and implementing systems and processes that enhance team performance and achieve organizational goals.

  • Audit Representation Experience: Solid background in representing clients during tax audits, with skills in tax research, issue resolution, and strategic planning to navigate compliance challenges effectively.

Top Skills Details/Additional Information:

  • 4+ years of tax auditing or internal tax audit

  • Prior management experience/supervising team of auditors

  • Experience with federal, state, or local government tax audits

  • Previous experience at a consulting firm

  • Will be required to travel up to 40%

  • Equipment provided

  • Will work east coast hours
