Woods Services Instructional Designer in Langhorne, Pennsylvania

Responsible for designing, developing, updating, maintaining, and evaluating online training content and instructor-led offerings.

  • Designs, develops, and updates training materials including, computer-based training modules, manuals, instructor guides, student guides/handouts, desktop procedures, bulletins, instructor-led training, training videos, and participant evaluation forms and testing.

  • Uploads and configures e-learning content onto Woods learning management system.

  • Acts as LMS administrator

  • Develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities and regularly monitors and reports results to department management, along with recommendations for improvement as appropriate.

  • Integrates emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning.

  • Creates multimedia products using a variety of software programs, primarily in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Manipulates and edits imagery, video, graphics, animation, effects, and sound using various editing software.

  • Builds custom reports to determine course enrollment, assessment results, learner status, and training effectiveness.

  • Responsible for conducting some training courses in applicable skilled areas as needed. Maintains instructor certification in these areas.

  • Trains staff and supervisors on navigation of online courses and learning management system. Collaborates with other departments and subject matter experts to create relevant e-learning content, videos, etc.

  • Provides input in establishing training department objectives, strategies, policies, and processes for Woods training programs.

  • Recommends and assists in the selection of external resources as required.

  • Provides technical expertise to assist all levels of the Woods organization in accessing e-learning content. Must be familiar with all the competencies necessary for quality direct care service throughout all Woods programs.

  • Must stay abreast of training, development, learning materials, methods and techniques, learning technology such as PowerPoint, Computer Learning, Audio and Video Productions, and their possible application to current and planned training programs.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by department management.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree in instructional design or related field preferred. Instructor-led or online training experience preferred.

  • Experience using Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate required. Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud required.

  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to work independently, plan, organize, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines; must be detail oriented and be able to effectively run multiple projects simultaneously. strong customer service orientation;

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., be agile, physically able to perform and train physical restraints, must be able to bend, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, push and stand for several hours at a time.
