DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Production Systems Planner will plan the near-term fabrication schedules working directly with the area supervisor in conjunction with available capacity as defined by the MPS. Manage and coordinate the scheduling and production control processes to ensure satisfactory fulfillment of customer requirements are met with the company's objectives and policies. Interface and collaborate with all impacted functional areas regarding schedule issues, sales, engineering, purchasing, shipping, project management, thereby optimizing flow of product through production. This position will be responsible for schedule adherence/off-schedule position.

Qualifications:  * Degree in a related technical field preferred. In lieu of a degree, candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.  * Experience related to steel fabrication production scheduling or fabrication experience in the steel industry.  * Proficient in SAP/HD/P6, Microsoft Office and blueprint reading.  * Excellent organizational skills.  * Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Essential Job Functions:  * Directs preparation of the production schedule.  * Analyzes available capacity in light of the master planning schedule.  * Plans, develops, and coordinates the scheduling and control processes.  * Responsible for schedule adherence and reporting schedule status.  * Regularly communicate with all functional areas on a timely basis regarding on schedule attainment and potential problems that may impact performance.  * Serves in a lead role in developing and improving formal computerized planning and scheduling systems.  * Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all other High Steel Departments.
