Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians – Surgical Group seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their dynamic, multi-specialty, surgical practice of 15 surgeons and 4 Physician Assistants. The position would be primarily in the inpatient setting and will focus on vascular surgery. The APP will be an integral part of the vascular surgery team and work closely with our 3 vascular surgeons. Our dedicated vascular surgeons perform the entire range of open vascular surgery and endovascular interventions, teaming with other specialists at the Heart and Vascular Institute to manage and treat a full range of cardiovascular conditions. The role will include first-assisting in the OR, inpatient rounding, post-op patient visits, routine chronic patient follow-up, new patient assessments, and performing minor procedures.

Hours: Full-time with hours primarily between 7:00am - 5:00pm. The APP will rotate weekend coverage from 7:00am-3:30pm on a 1 in 5 weekend schedule. The APP will also share holiday coverage with the 4 other APP’s.


Physician Assistant

  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine.

  • Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program.

  • Minimum one year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.

Nurse Practitioner

  • Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse

  • Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required​.

  • Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania

  • Minimum one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
