POSITION SUMMARY:

The New Employee Orientation (NEO) Program Coordinator plays a critical role in the oversight, preparation and delivery of the Penn Medicine LG Health New Employee Orientation Experience. This individual successfully facilitates the coordination and delivery of the new employee orientation (NEO) and NEO 90 programs. Supports the organization’s mission and strategies through the delivery of workforce training programs with a particular focus on future employee pipeline programs. Acts as a resource for new employees and promotes growth and development.

Hybrid Work Environment: Required to work in office minimum of three (3) days per week. Remaining time can be worked in a remote environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

Coordinates and facilitates the NEO and NEO 90 programs for newly hired Lancaster General Health employees . Includes, coordination and scheduling of NEO sessions with participating staff members and presenters; coordinates the preparation of NEO materials; reviews and updates curriculum of NEO and other workforce training programs with applicable parties, at least annually, to ensure materials are current and relevant to the organization. Provides feedback to NEO facilitators, to promote growth and development, as well as improve overall employee experience.

  • Participates in collaborative calls with the internal Recruitment team on finalizing the new employee class rosters for each upcoming Orientation Program.

  • Ensures all program supplies are ordered routinely and timely, as communicated by program facilitators.

  • Ensures Room Set up is completed in time for Monday’s Orientation program.

  • Facilitates the orientation program, assisting with new employee questions and providing in room support for the computer log in/access process.

  • Serves as primary point-of-contact for all new employee onboarding related questions/concerns and triages HR related requests appropriately.

  • Responsible for the scheduling of future Orientation Program sessions and communications to employees/managers.

  • Communicates “post-session” orientation survey to new employees for feedback and insights for areas of improvement. Analyzes, interprets and communicates trends to the Program Facilitators as appropriate.

  • Provides Penn Key administration and prepares Learning Management System Access and communicates access information to new employees. Working within PM LG Health’s Learning Management System (LMS).

Coordinates the Lunch with the CEO program monthly with new employees at their six month anniversary of employment with LG Health. Responsible for all facets of the program including employee communications, coordination of rooms and catering, slides for the luncheon, talking points for CEO, scheduling and final pre and post program project management to ensure overall success and best employee experience. Leverages insights from luncheon about employee experience and works with Manager to ensure employee sentiments addressed if not already incorporated within other initiatives.

Future Employee Pipeline Programs - Partners with Manager of Engagement, talent team and other key stakeholders in the design, development and coordination of future employee pipeline programs such as Bright Futures and Tec Centro and any additional programs that may be developed. In this capacity provides program design and coordination to ensure seamless implementation of the programs. Performs activties such as program development, scheduling, orientation, communications with those enrolled, communications with program facilitators, ensuring program sessions/events run smoothly with any appropriate follow up.

Assists Talent Development and OD Senior Director with program support of leadership development programs.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Serves on a rotation with other HR resources at the Employee Service Center as needed.

  • Helps design, promote, deliver and coordinate other initiatives related to New Hire Onboarding and overall New Hire Experience.

  • Other projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in a Related Field

  • Ability to communicate effectively with various workforce segments of a healthcare organization.

  • At least one (1) year experience delivering workforce training programs

  • At least (3) years’ experience in a Human Resources, Customer Service, or Office Administration position

  • Customer-Service oriented; positive attitude.

  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to Multi-task. Demonstrated experience effectively managing time and prioritizing projects in various stages of completion.

  • Superior organization skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office programs).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
