Sealing Devices Machine Operator/Material Handling in Lancaster, New York
Description
Statement of Work:• Review router and unless otherwise directed, determines the order, by date required, in which jobs will be performed• Performs thickness check on remnant material • Pull material from stock or storage areas and locates at the work station or carts as required • Measures and cuts material to meet customer requirements via cutting machine or other tools• Record material usage & time usage on the router • Issues material at computer terminal through the ERP system• Prints traveling label • Deducts material usage on inventory tags • Puts incoming material into inventory storage areas • Returns remnant materials to proper storage areas• Maintains good housekeeping as required• Assists in the training of new hires as required • Reports quality problems to applicable supervisor • Responsible to follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary • Any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the fabrication system • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System.
