Bob's Turkey Farm Farm Workers Laborers in Lancaster, Massachusetts
Date of Need:: 5/1/2024 to 12/1/2024 Including but not limited to the duties listed required. Worker is responsible for bringing suitable clothing and shoes for work. Worker needs to be flexible in start and end times of hours listed due to the fact that Breeding has to focus around daylight and weather. Employer will provide waterproof clothing and boots. Drivers license is recommended. Breeding is specific to April through July months; Duties include, but are not limited to, catching turkeys, picking eggs, cleaning eggs, washing and disinfecting eggs and incubation equipment, Caring for adult birds and poults, prepare poults to transport pens, feeding, bedding, cleaning, and shoveling manure. Temperatures range from 10- 95 degrees for working in turkey pens and facility. Later in the Fall and winter season duties also include, but are not limited to, caring for turkeys, feeding, watering, cleaning pens, spreading bedding (this includes shoveling and using a pitchfork). Duties also include, handling turkeys for various reasons, picking them up dead or alive, moving them pen to pen etc. and slaughtering, and processing, lifting, picking, eviscerating, cleaning up, operating machinery, icing, weighing, and packing. One months experience in duties listed required and must be able to work independently, without supervision.
