Skookum is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Coordinator I with a professional attitude. The Material Coordinator I executes the following: locates and moves materials and parts between work areas of plant to expedite processing of goods, according to pre-determined schedules and priorities, and keeps related record, reviews production schedules inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material and priorities of customer orders, confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials, locates and moves materials to specified production areas, using cart or hand truck, and records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Schedules and pick-ups materials from the supported SSA and process the received goods from SSA and prioritizes the parts based on work order priorities set by the supported unit. Responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material and parts within the shop Prepare, inspect, package and issue materials/parts/supplies required to fill job orders both manually and in Maximo. Maintains VL06I records and processed MRO's 1348 IAW with Units SOP Locate and distribute materials to specified production areas, manually or using a handcart, hand truck, or forklift. Record and maintain perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed, manually or using a computer. Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of parts and materials needed are available. Examine material delivered to verify it is the type specified. Reviews SLOC inventory reports against customer work orders to determine availability of material on-hand. Issues material against work order. Maintain professionalism both in appearance and in demeanor. Ensure the type and quantity of parts and materials specified on the job order are correct and filled according to priority. Locate and distribute parts and materials to specified production areas utilizing handcart, hand truck or forklift. Provide periodic status updates of overdue materials to department Managers. Utilizes GCSS-A ZOAREP reports to determine overdue repairable, recoverable, and excess material. Coordinates with supporting SSA to move material to warehouse utiliz
