Skookum is seeking a dedicated and reliable Chemical Clerk with a positive attitude. The Chemical Clerk is directly responsible for coordinating and organizing all chemical protective gear associated with deploying soldiers as well as the data entry into the MICAS system. This position is responsible for all bulk issues to units for deployment. Also responsible for all inventories of chemical gear to include annual inspections. Typical duties include but are not limited to: The clerk pulls all the required chemical gear (JSLIST coat, trousers, gloves, boots, canister, helmet cover, M8 book, M295 kit, M9 paper, M256 kit, NBC bag) and annotates it. When stock gets low, the clerk will request stock by submitting a Stock Request Form through email to the ICEMP office and stock will be sent from the Bluegrass Army Depot. Responsible for annotating on the "Chemical Items Received" form. Annual Spot Check Inspections are conducted on sight by ICEMP to ensure the information shown in the MICAS System matches exactly what is on the warehouse floor by NSN, Expiration Date, Location, and Quantity. The Clerk is responsible for inventorying, boxing, labeling, and preparing all H code chemical gear for shipment. The Chemical Clerk is responsible for conducting scheduled briefings as requested by our Government customer to deploying units. Chemical Clerk assists with Annual Inventory. Qualifications: Must be able to acquire secret clearance. Must be familiar with Microsoft office. Must be able to communicate well with units, PEO-Soldier, SPIE fielding teams. At least 1 year of relevant work experience in retail/warehouse operations with knowledge of a Central Issuing Facility is preferred. Operates, maintains, and relocates forklifts to and from fielding site as needed. Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
