This is a position with global grade 12 This position reports to Sales Operations Manager Your role and responsibilities Proposal Team Management: Lead and manage a team of proposal engineers, providing guidance, mentoring and support to ensure the delivery of high quality proposals within specified deadlines Work with Sales Operations Director to develop and implement best practices, quality processes and templates to streamline the proposal development lifecycle Coordinate with cross functional teams, including sales, subject matter experts and operations, to gather information and insights necessary for proposal creation Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of the proposal team and keep them informed about industry trends and best practices Proposal team involves proposal engineers from US (United States) as well as India. Effectively work with the geographically distributed team to leverage the time difference for expedited delivery of proposals Coach, mentor and develop direct and functional reports within HR (Human Resource) polices to build a high performance team Oversee the proposal team loading and proposal development schedule, ensuring timely completion and submission of proposals Prepare Executive overview and Full Cost Models for Risk Review presentations. Be able to articulate the scope, risks, mitigation plans for approval Maintain Salesforce RFQ queues and reports for tracking and monitoring RFQs (Request for quotations) and proposals of the team Effective communication with sales, sales management, operations, engineering, business drivers, suppliers and customers to facilitate delivery of quality proposals Conduct performance reviews for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and setting performance goals Address personnel issues promptly, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment Proposal Writing (Individual contributor): Actively contribute to the development of persuasive and well structured proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and RFP (Request for proposal) requirements Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and translate complex concepts into clear, concise and compelling proposal content Review and edit proposals for clarity, consistency and compliance with company standards Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes and client needs to enhance the quality and relevance of proposals Be able to step in and contribute towards various aspects of active proposals requiring urgent turnaround Qualifications for the role Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field and a preferred 8 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments 8 plus years of experience in engineering/project management in distributed control systems (DCS) projects; experience in proposal writing/management preferred Proven experience managing and leading proposal teams to successful outcomes Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines In depth understanding of proposal development best practices and industry standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and full cost models Some travel may be necessary (less than 10 percent) Individual must be able to demonstrat
