Second shift HVAC/R Mechanic/Engineer/Tech needed for high rise office building! You will work as part of an engineering team at a JLL managed federal portfolio in downtown Cleveland, OH. This is a union position - International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE Local 18) Location: Cleveland, OH 44199 Type of Employment: Full-time w/JLL + IUOE Local 18 benefits Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM with a rotating on-call schedule for after-hour emergencies (must be able to train on 1st shift) Additional Perks: company uniforms, cell phone, free training, $250.00 annual shoe allowance, $13.88 Per Hour H&W Benefits, & $4.25 Per Hour in Pension, etc. Compensation:$34.86an hour What your day-to-day will look like:Installs, services, maintains and repairs environmental-control systems in residences, department stores, office buildings and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform floor, using hand tools, follows blueprints or engineering specifications. Fabricates, assembles and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using metalworking tools and welding equipment. Installs evaporator unit chassis or in air-duct system, using hand tools. Other duties may include general maintenance work such as light plumbing, electrical, paint/patch carpentry or other. All HVAC personnel designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair HVAC equipment or systems shall maintain a minimum of sixteen (16) hours of continuing education annually from a NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider program. All HVAC personnel designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair HVAC equipment or systems shall possess one (1) or more of the following certifications: a. North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVACR Service Technician Certification b. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification c. UA Star HVACR Mastery Certification Physical Work Requirements & ConditionsMust be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:High School diploma or GED equivalent; trade school education, union training, military service is desirable Located in Cleveland, OH metro area (relocation assistance is not available for this role) IUOE Local 18 member or interest in obtaining membership Must have proven work experience with commercial HVAC service, PM, & repair experience Must possess one (1) or more of the following certifications: a. North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVACR Service Technician Certification b. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification c. UA Star HVACR Mastery Certification Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS) Strong Customer Service & Interpersonal skills Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) Due to federal government regulations pertaining to secured areas on-site, candidates applying for the position must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship.
