Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment independently, supervise mechanical personnel, and assist in troubleshooting and training. You will interact with management to assist in new project quotation generation by providing input on equipment choices, potential capital purchases or improvements, and estimated output. Additionally, you will perform calibrations on mixers, load cells, and other equipment, generate purchase requisitions for materials and parts needed, and ensure a complete knowledge of tools and basic machinery operation.
Responsibilities
Set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment independently.
Supervise mechanical personnel and assist in troubleshooting and training.
Interact with management to assist in new project quotation generation by providing input on equipment choices, potential capital purchases or improvements, and estimated output.
Perform calibrations on mixers, load cells, etc.
Generate purchase requisitions for materials and parts needed.
Maintain complete knowledge of tools and basic machinery operation.
Work safely around solvents and chemicals needed for sanitization tasks.
Safely work with hot water (180 degrees F).
Perform plumbing repairs/improvements.
Utilize welding/fabrication experience (pipefitting, TIG welding).
Perform calibration and preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Troubleshooting
Electrical
Maintenance & Mechanical repair
Preventive maintenance
Experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment
Working specifically with mixers, compounding equipment, liquid lines, pumps, pipes
Lead maintenance mechanic or Supervisory experience
Preventative/corrective maintenance
Welding
Hydraulics & Pneumatics
Industrial equipment
Substantial experience working with manufacturing equipment
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures and communicate their requirements to others
Ability to troubleshoot/repair/rebuild various types of equipment
