EMCOR Group Warehouse & Services Delivery Driver in Lakewood, Colorado

Reports to: Purchasing/Warehouse Manager Location: Lakewood, CO

General Summary

The Warehouse Services & Delivery Driver (WSSD) position is responsible for receiving, organizing, and delivering materials, tools and equipment to job sites. The WSSD role works collaboratively and respectfully with all supervisors, peers, administrative staff, field craft workers, field supervision, vendors, and subcontractors, to meet both project and company objectives, based the values of Mission First, People Always.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and understand instructions, directions or specifications to plan and complete daily work activities.

  • Receive, offload, check in and inspect material orders ensuring accuracy of order and delivery. Ensure the security of the materials and storage facilities.

  • Properly load, secure, and inspect loads for transport to and from projects, and monitor load during transport.

  • Operate Forklift and other equipment as necessary to load/offload materials, in accordance with safety requirements.

  • Assist in the scheduling of material and equipment pickup and delivery to meet deadlines and maintain an efficient warehouse and delivery system.

  • As directed by the Purchasing/Warehouse Manager:

  • Maintain company tool and equipment delivery

  • Assist with maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment

  • Assist with warehouse upkeep, cleanliness, material control, and fleet care.

  • Practice and adhere to all Company operating policies, procedures, OSHA, and safety programs as established.

Job Specifications

  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 and web interface. Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate in English.

  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in Spanish is a plus.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Possess a valid Colorado Driver License with Clean Motor Vehicle Record.

  • Minimum 2-year experience driving commercial vehicles and trailers preferred.

  • Class B CDL preferred.

  • Ability to pass a DOT Physical and drug screen.

  • Ability to pass a background check as may be required at various job sites.

  • Working knowledge of the construction industry, OSHA, and relevant safety practices preferred.

  • Possess a positive attitude toward career development and company process/policy improvement.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to commute to jobsite and vendor locations. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Compensation Range: $17.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience.
