Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking ITAM Admin (User Support) to support TGS and our government customer in Lakewood, CO.

The Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) project goal is to provide the Agency with better information to manage business decisions, improve best practices and allow better management of the life cycle of IT assets. ITAM will allow the Agency to cut costs, reduce liability exposure, improve software compliance and better match use with contract terms. The long-term objective is capturing and integrating physical, financial, and contractual data that supports the functions needed to manage IT assets effectively and optimize customer’s performance.

Scope of Work:

A critical element of the ITAM project includes the implementation and operational support of the planning, acquisition, delivery, acceptance, and installation of IT assets. Resources supporting this function will work with Asset Management Team (AMT) users and management to facilitate use and reporting of asset management planning and performance and to expand their knowledge and use of Asset Manager and the associated discovery tools.

Asset Manager - User Support Activities:

  • Design and document business processes for/with users and developers.

  • Explain Asset Manager hardware and software asset models to users and potential users.

  • Provide one-on-one training to the users as required and scheduled by the task manager and project managers.

  • Deliver group-training sessions on new modules and Asset Manager enhancements.

  • Understand and expand their knowledge and use of Asset Manager and associated discovery tools, such as:

  • UDi,

  • eView,

  • IBM’s Tivoli Asset Discovery for z/OS (TADz),

  • Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

  • Troubleshoot AM problems to the root cause.

  • Update AMT project plans in SharePoint

  • Add and update data to the designated SharePoint locations using various SharePoint modules and update them as required by task assignments.

  • Finalizes user requirement documents, and uploads to SharePoint site

  • Participate in Asset Mgmt Team (AMT) meetings, project meetings, conference calls, and related training.

  • Add new, and modify/update the status of existing, assets using Asset Manager.

  • Assess user requirements in asset manager.

  • Develop reports for/with users and management.

  • Troubleshoot problems to completion for/with users and management.

  • Expected to learning agency approved software packages.

Required Skills, Education, Experience:

  • BS Degree and/or 4 years in direct IT asset management experience.

  • At least 2 years’ experience in providing IT procurement or IT asset management support.

  • Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to articulate English in person and over the telephone.

  • Works under general supervision.

  • ServiceNow experience

  • Experience working with SharePoint preferred

  • Experienced with and possess the ability to demonstrate knowledge in Windows 10, Office 365, and Microsoft operating system software

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office products

  • HSPD-12 Suitability

Office Location and Travel:

Durham, NC or Baltimore MD

Hours and Location of Service

Full time support is required for this task and consists of an eight and half hour workday (half hour meal break included) within the core hours of operation: 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Infrequent, but occasional off-hour and weekend support may be required to meet Agency’s requirements, not including federal holidays.

Contractors may be required to report for duty during periods of inclement weather and in other emergencies.

Work shall be performed on-site in Woodlawn, Maryland, and Research Triangle Park (RTP), located in Durham, North Carolina, or Urbana, Maryland.

The client leadership may approve telework days in accordance to telework procedures, including any updated telework procedures related to pandemics, emergencies, and catastrophic situations.

Pagers, Cell Phones, and Laptops

Client will provide laptops in support of this task. Laptops are required for remote support.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
