The General Ledger and Financial Reporting Analyst is a vital member of the Corporate Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in the monthly close and financial reporting processes and be analytical, self-motivated, and proactive. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, all while contributing to the success of your team and expanding your accounting knowledge base. This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller. Required Skills/Qualifications Ensure an accurate and timely month-end close by preparing various journal entries and account reconciliations for leases, capitalized software, inter-company, and other accounts Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for internal and external parties Assist with flux analysis for the month end that summarizes and tells the "story" of the activity Ensure proper accounting policies and principles are followed in accordance with US GAAP Coordinate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues Act as backup for accounting team members as needed, i.e. vacations etc. Participate in the development and implementation of procedures and systems related to the accounting team Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting processes for your areas of responsibility Assist with periodic and annual audits including preparation of audit schedules and management of inquiries from the third-party auditors Assist with ad-hoc projects and management inquiries such as file company business license applications, renewals and property tax filings
Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting required 1-5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency. Basic proficiencies in Word & PowerPoint Desire for continuous learning with a high degree of integrity and professionalism Excellent communication skills and professionalism with the ability to develop good working relationships with personnel in all departments and levels Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods Able to work independently and within a team setting Strong organization and attention to detail skills Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting and Fin/Lease Query software preferred but not required. Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
