ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for P2P business analysis, process improvement, alignment, controls and on-going business support of the Colorado Asphalt & Construction businesses..

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Promotes the implementation and development of an internal control culture within the Contracting and Asphalt BUs.

  • Supports the analyses of P2P processes end to end, identifies weaknesses or inefficiencies, performs root cause analyses and works with the BU Management teams to develop and implement the necessary corrective action plans for process and control improvement.

  • Work with BU Management to communicate changes to processes and policies.

  • Drives process improvement initiatives to completion.

  • Administration and management of the project contract process in partnership with the legal department.

  • Manage Business Process Support Team activities in the areas of prioritizing, implementing, supporting, training and measuring systems and business process enhancements to ensure system performance is maximized and processes are standardized and optimized.

  • Develop sign-off process and communication plan for each change in O2C P2P methodology.

  • Conducts fact-based assessment of P2P issues.

  • Develop metrics and reports to monitor P2P process.

  • Maintain customer orientation focus to reach and maintain efficiency of processes and systems, the Manager of Business Process role is crucial in the following activities: development of P2P process intelligence (metrics and reporting), delivery against P2P process improvement initiatives, responsiveness to P2P issues facing the user community, effectiveness of super user network to train and maintain P2P process knowledge, investment and engagement of key stakeholders in Business Support efforts.

  • Interface with external auditors on controls and processes to review their work plan and challenges their conclusions.

  • Interface with Group Internal Audit on the follow-up of action plans from their audit recommendations and to the BU Management Team regarding results.

  • Coordinates the formal Internal control assessment as per Group Internal Control Instructions as well as the preparation of the roadmap of Process and Control Improvement and remediation where required.

  • Segregation of Duties owner for the Contracting and Asphalt Division.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS

  • Interface closely with Contracting and Asphalt Division, specifically including the BU Management Teams, General Manager and the Regional SVP(as needed), to ensure effective and efficient processes, with a focus on customer service.

  • Collaborate with all functions to drive implementation of compliant and standardized business processes: BU Executive Committees, Operations and Administration, Legal, Finance, Heads of Shared Service Center (SSC), Group Internal Control department, Group Audit Department/External Auditor, Other Business Process Owners, P2P system users and IT representatives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Operations, Compliance, Controls, or Business Process positions

  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Strong computer literacy, including Excel, Word and Internet (Holcim Online), ERP Systems.

  • Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, an asset.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrate strong skills in problem solving, decision making and multi tasking.

  • Maintains composure in dealing with difficult situations; demonstrates positive customer service attitude. Time and self managementself-management skills, including being self directedself-directed; effective realization of current priorities. Strong sense of teamwork.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
