Job Title: Press Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Press Operator to set up and operate machines to manufacture parts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting parts for defects, reading prints or work orders to determine part specifications and tooling instructions, and planning operational sequences.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to make parts.

• Inspect parts for defects.

• Read prints or work orders to determine part specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences.

• Position, adjust, and secure material against stops, fixtures, or automatic feeder manually or with a forklift.

• Set machine stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales, rules, or templates.

• Clean tooling punches.

• Compute data such as machine settings and apply knowledge of shop mathematics such as cutting multiple sheets at a time.

• Load materials into the packaging area.

• Count materials.

• Tag and label boxes, bins, and products.

• Remove defective products and place them in red rejection bins.

• Transport completed boxes to pallets or the shipping area.

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
