Menasha Packaging Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift-R5845 in Lakeville, Minnesota

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by: completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctionsWork with production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical issuesWork in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEMs to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipmentLocate sources of problems by: observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; and use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problemsControl downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniquesFabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipmentMaintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsUse computer system to document work and account for partsCommunicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other modeMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsRequired to participate on Emergency Response TeamPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsKnowledge, Skills, Or Abilities DesiredSafety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe mannerAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the businessAbility to work on a rotating shift as neededAbility to effectively work in teamsAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesAbility to read and understand machine part lists, preventative maintenance manuals, schematics and blueprintsProficient computer skills including the ability to navigate and perform needed duties on CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)Ability to use rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instrumentsAbility to operate equipment including machines, alignment tools, high lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, scissors lifts, etc.Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the jobCompensation & benefits:The starting wage for this position is $32.45 /hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential, with opportunities to train in other positions with higher payRobust benefit offeringsMany advancement opportunities!Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
