Requirement: Must have recent experience in outside sales....3 years under their belt.
A mechanical supply company sales representative, or mechanical equipment sales representative, may have many responsibilities, including:
- Customer relations
Building and maintaining relationships with customers, both existing and potential, and ensuring they are satisfied with their purchase
- Sales
Taking orders, preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals, negotiating and closing sales deals, and representing the brand
- Product knowledge
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, products, and competitors, and using that knowledge to recommend the best products and solutions to product-related problems
- Delivery
Estimating delivery dates based on manufacturing schedules, determining delivery methods, and arranging for delivery and installation of machinery
- Vendor relations
Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery, and participate in vendor sales incentive programs
- Other
Managing and developing new customers, arranging for repairs, and reviewing sales reports
