Looking for a talented Life Enrichment Coordinator

Schedule Shift Mon-Fri 9:00am to 5:30pm, occasional weekends based on events

Rate $20.00per hour

Westminster at Lake Ridge is a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community serving older adults in three levels of service: Independent Living, Assisted Living and a Health Center. Our team of roughly 270 total employees serves a population of over 400 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir.

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Life Enrichment with planning and executing recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for the residents.

Job Requirements

The Life Enrichment Coordinator should have an Associate's Degree in a Human Service field with at least six (6) months related experience or a combination of a high school diploma and at least one (1) year related experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Developing, planning and promoting recreational programs and special events that accommodate all residents, regardless of any physical, dietary, emotional or psychosocial challenges
  • Ensuring that all recreational programs offered are engaging, resident-centered, promotes the seven dimensions of wellness and is compliant with state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Interacting with residents during planned programs to create rapport and build relationships
  • Maintaining current records of all activities including resident participation, events and feedback
  • Completing and maintaining activity assessments, MDS and care plans
  • Scheduling, attending and leading monthly Resident Council meetings
