Position Overview

The Director of Implementation Services provides day-to-day and strategic leadership to the Implementation Department. The position is accountable for a defined relationship with sales and all associated client Implementation projects that are sold into those markets. The Director of Implementation Services is responsible for applying expert knowledge of the implementation and large project process, providing strategic direction, making decisions, and solving complex problems to move the business forward while managing an integrated team of Implementation Managers, Team Leads, and Implementation Consultants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The Director is charged with achieving high-quality of service across the client base across the Implementation Department, meeting agreed-upon departmental deliverables, and ensuring key operational performance metrics are met.

  • Determines organizational structure and developmental needs for their region. Creates workforce forecasting and plans to ensure staffing for the Implementation function, appropriate training plan and career–path development for our evolving business needs.

  • Provide necessary leadership to enhance and improve client relationships through a high-performing team of Implementation personnel.

  • Manage cross-functional team support and develop strong business relationships throughout the organization.

  • Work within and recommend new performance metrics, definition and process to measure key performance indicators. Ability to set the vision and culture for continuous process and quality improvement. Reports on metrics and action plans to the entire team and senior management.

  • Work with other Implementation directors and other regions to maintain consistent service model designs and processes and to drive change and improvement agendas across the service function.

  • Partners with operations and Learning & Development leaders to develop appropriate training that will directly improve the client experience.

  • The Director may handle client escalations that require senior management intervention to remedy any Implementation failures.

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop management staff. Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities, and attracting new talent.

  • Communicates to their Implementation teams to ensure employee understanding and engagement. Presents, along with the management team, new policies and initiatives to the team.

  • Improve client loyalty as measured through NPS surveys.

  • Prepares and reports on the region’s annual budget (headcount plan, productivity goals, and capital expenditures). Manage expenses to the established budget/plan.

  • Up to 25% travel required.

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree is required, Master's degree is preferred.

  • Previous Implementation and/or project management experience is required.

  • Candidates should have 10+ years of business experience, with 5+ years managing teams and recruiting talent.

  • Experience with analysis and project life cycle methodologies as well as an understanding of the implementation project life cycle is required.

  • Technology experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple resources across multiple locations who are working on complex projects and tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong and proven ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members.

  • Strong collaborative, negotiating, influencing, leadership, and decision-making skills.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $125,578-$184,987yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
