Job Description
Luxury and tranquility in an authentic setting, await our Guests at a Fairmont Spa. Have a passion for hair? Looking for a fantastic lifestyle in the Rockies? Come join our salon team at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, where you can provide hair care while bringing current styling trends to our guests. Come as you are!
What you will be doing:
Perform hair care services including; cutting, styling, blow-drying, hair colouring, conditioning treatments, formal evening designs & weddings
Ensure the proper procedures in the operations of each appointment, welcoming guests and basic reservations
Must follow the LQA (leading quality assurance) standards at all times
Accommodates special requests of guests
Maintains a clean and productive work environment that meets the Alberta Health Standards
Assist with cleaning duties as required for all areas of the spa including the Spa Reception area
Participation in hotel committees/communication meetings is mandatory
Offer assistance with home care recommendations and prescribing the most beneficial products
Product training with subsequent sales goals will be assigned
Possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English
Have a Passion for People and Service Excellence
Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Red Seal qualifications are mandatory
Certification from an accredited school of Hair is required
All professional licenses are to be current
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
Ability to be frequently standing, bending and reaching throughout shift
Occasional lifting and carrying, kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
