Description

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all Fort William Henry bars, trains newly hired bartenders, ensures excellent customer service, manages staff, writes weekly schedules, maintains inventory, and ensure that the bars meet all financial and operational expectations. The Bar Manager plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment for customers and fosters a positive work atmosphere for the staff.

Salary: $58,500 to $60,000 based on experience plus gratuity

  • Operational Management:

    Oversee the day-to-day operations of all FWH bars.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar areas.

  • Staff Management:

Hires, trains, and supervises all FWH bar staff.

Schedule shifts and manage staff rotations.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

Resolve staff conflicts and promote a teamwork environment.

  • Customer Service:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service.

Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner.

Create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.

  • Inventory Management:

Monitors stock par levels and order supplies as needed.

Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock rotation.

Ensure proper storage and handling of all beverages.

Financial Management:

Manage all FWH bar's budget and financial performance.

Prepare sales reports and tracks revenues.

Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.

  • Menu Development:

Collaborate with staff to create and update the bar menu.

Introduce new cocktails and beverages to attract customers.

Ensure menu items are cost-effective and popular with patrons.

  • Marketing and Promotions:

Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract customers.

Organize events, promotions, and special offers.

Utilize social media and other channels to promote the bar.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Maintain necessary licenses and permits.

Implement policies for responsible alcohol service.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.

Experience: Proven experience as a bar manager or in a similar role.

Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar equipment.

Financial acumen and budget management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.

Certifications:

Certification in bartending or mixology is preferred; responsible beverage service certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
