Summary/Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of this position is to provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in accordance with standards of professional nursing and supporting person centered care philosophy.
Qualifications: The minimum education, experience and qualifications for this position are: Graduation from an approved registered professional nursing program; current IL RN license and CPR certification; one year as an RN in a hospital (general care) or long-term care setting with adults preferred; good communications skills; an interest in working with older adults; ability to direct nursing assistants; knowledge of aging changes and common health problems of geriatric patients; responsible to learn and use standard functions within software and know basic operation of computer to enhance efficiency in resident/patient service, assessment and/or clinical documentation; and responsible to use computers and software as required by work environment in order to enhance communications, performance and knowledge.
