FANUC America is currently searching for a Service/ Installation Engineer in Lake Forest, CA to be responsible for the efficient and timely build, run-off and installation of FANUC America Corporation West systems, onsite at FAC in Lake Forest, CA and at customer sites. Additionally, this position will provide technical field service for systems and direct products. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • System build, integration, installation and service onsite at FAC and the customer site.

  • Programming, start‑up and debug of systems onsite at FAC and the customer site.

  • Lead contract technicians in the assembly and test of systems.

  • Demonstration lab set‑up, programming, support and customer training.

  • Field service troubleshooting, procurement of pa rts and repair, and billing of FAC West systems and units.

  • Retrofit and test units prior to final installation.

  • Shop tool/WIP (Work in Process) placement and scheduling.

  • Project management and supervision of floor technicians as needed.

    Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent , relevant education ; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a related environment .

  • E lectrical, mechanical, and programming skills .

  • B asic understanding of blueprint and schematic reading.

  • Strong problem solving skills with the a bility to analyze and solve service and robot installation problems, and perform intricate repairs on mechanical and electrical items.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization, internally and with customers.

  • Ability to work in a highly autonomous environment.
