Position Specific Description

Florida Power & Light Company's Customer Service Business Unit is seeking to add a Meter Elect B to their team in Lake City, FL.

Successful candidates will have a valid driver's license and have an excellent safe driving record.

Job Overview

Minimum requirements for job:

1) Must be able to work in direct sunlight or at night

2) Must be able to climb ladders

3) Must be physically able to do all assigned tasks

Accountabilities:

1) Operate in a safe manner at all times in accordance with all safety rules.

2) Install/remove meters that are self contained: * retires * periodic * customer request * broken or fogged canopies

3) Perform initial installations of self-contained meters: * repair/replace blocks on de-energized services * repair/replace lugs * repair/replace locks and seals * remove/replace jammed lock devices

4) Identify and report current diversion

5) Perform C&D work

6) Be available for two man crew make-up assisting Meter Electrician A

7) Perform minor meter repair: * Hi/low scale change, self contained only * Demand jammed, self contained only

8) Performs revenue protection investigations on self-contained meters in accordance with the MOA.

9) Untap/ retap services (up to 1/0 in size) associated with meter repair only.
