Job Description
W.R. Grace is hiring a Production Engineer to work at our Lake Charles, LA manufacturing site who will report to our Operations Manager. As a Production Engineer you will be responsible for providing line process operating support to ensure the achievement of our production goals as outlined below:
Responsibilities
Troubleshoots process/ production issues
Provides Operations Supervisor’s first line of support for solving process management issues
Owns and drives quality improvement projects
Manages & improves area operator control plans, SOPs
Supports Zero Energy reviews as required
Works with ASC to resolve discrepancies for on-time shipments
Supports month end closing processes and customer interactions (complaints, audits & onsite visits)
Supports & facilitates RCAs and training of site personnel
Conduct Management of Change (MOCs) Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) including GMP and PSSR and Commissioning and Startup Activities and daily plant inspections and walkthroughs
Conducts OIRs and incident investigations and data sourcing and analysis
Supports Purchasing/GRs/New Vendors/Req's
Redlines Engineering Drawings and Documents
Manages and catalogs engineering documents and drawings (P&ID, MOC, Interlock Sched, etc.)
Executes productivity projects
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or another engineering discipline
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, preferably working in a chemical or petrochemical environment
Preferred Qualifications
