This is a FT/Weekend ( Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6am to 6pm) Ultrasound Technologist position at Arnett Hospital. No call requirements!
Performs ultrasound procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen, RDMS(AB), Obstetrics & Gynecology, RDMS(OB/GYN), or Pediatric Sonography, RDMS(PS), and/or Registererd Vascular Technologist - Vascular Technology, RVT(VT); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registerd Technologist - Sonography, RT(S) or Vascular Sonography, RT(VS); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Registered Vascular Sonographer, RVS; as required by facility accreditation, if applicable.
Exception: if performing breast ultrasound only, must obtain credential through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography & Breast US, RT(S)(BS), or Radiography, Mammography & Breast Ultrasound, RT(R)(M)(BS); within 18 months of hire.
May be required to be registered by the ARRT in another modality, if applicable.
May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.
Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
