About the Position:

At the ZF Lafayette facility, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for maintaining the Preventative Maintenance (PM) process in SAP, work order entry, tracking and reporting, Maintenance KPIs and backup support for maintenance team. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing to provide accurate data, timely secure parts to assure maximum operational availability. Communication throughout all levels of the plant, critical thinking, problem solving, and the right technical skills will be vital to success in this role. Being flexible and able to work with other team members effectively will facilitate meeting the targets and objectives of the ZF Lafayette facility.

What you can look forward to as a Maintenance Planner:

  • Organize preventative maintenance (PM) process using SAP, including data input, printing, distribution, tracking and reporting.

  • Work order entry and monitoring to completion.

  • Reports maintenance KPI's downtime, mean time between failure, total time to repair, response time, and technician utilization.

  • Works with Operations to schedule machine projects and proactive work.

  • Assist skilled trades with inputting and closing preventative maintenance tickets and work order tickets and part ordering and delivery.

  • Maintains parts inventory and provides input to Maintenance Manager on failure trends.

Your Profile as a Maintenance Planner:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • College or work experience a plus.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
