*This role is a PM Shift position, 7:30pm-4am Monday through Friday, that is 100% onsite in LaFayette, GA.

Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Roper, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Appliances, is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations, to oversee the complete operational plan and performance of a value stream within our facility. This role is a critical driver of safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. You would be leading a team of approximately 200 employees in a Senior Production Supervisory capacity.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Own and execute the annual operational plan for the value stream, ensuring alignment with overall plant goals. You'll manage resources, track department metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of salaried and hourly employees, including Area Business Leaders and Team Leaders, to achieve top-tier performance. You'll also spearhead the daily operational rhythm, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Continuous Improvement: Champion the Appliance Production System philosophy, identifying and eliminating waste while solving complex problems. You'll lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and overall value stream performance.

  • Quality and Safety Assurance: Ensure that products meet the highest quality standards and that safety protocols are rigorously followed. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve production issues, driving improvements in key metrics like First Pass Yield and Service Call Rate.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: A BA or BS in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical) or an equivalent degree. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting is required.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Green Belt or Black Belt certification, and a proven track record of implementing change and achieving business goals.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to coach, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
