Robert Half Sr Public Tax Accountant in Lafayette, California

Description

One of our clients in the Lafayette area is looking for a Sr. Tax Accountant.

  • Prepare, examine, and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.

  • Conduct tax research to find answers to complex tax-related issues.

  • Review and recommend modifications to the accounting systems and control procedures.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the current state of tax laws, regulations and GAAP standards.

  • Guide, train, and support junior accounting staff members.

  • Provide recommendations on strategies for tax planning and tax savings.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field (CPA or Master’s in Tax preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Tax Accountant.

  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
