Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Ladson, South Carolina. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the financial industry. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including monthly closing, bank account reconciliation, processing checks, maintaining invoice files, and utilizing ERP NetSuite Financials.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reports.

• Manage bank accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations monthly.

• Process approved checks weekly based on the schedule set by the CFO or CEO.

• Maintain a comprehensive file of open invoices and assist with the documentation of goods receipts.

• Utilize ERP NetSuite Financials for various financial tasks and processes.

• Generate and distribute customer invoices regularly.

• Assist in the preparation of periodic miscellaneous reports and surveys for senior officials and government units.

• Prepare and verify journal entries to the general ledger.

• Participate in inventory physical counts and assist with month-end reporting.

• Ensure the accuracy of daily Sales Order Report and distribute it to necessary personnel.

Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Should have a deep understanding of General Ledger

• Knowledge in making Journal Entries is required

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary

• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software is essential

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred

• CPA certification is a plus

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in other accounting software and applications is a plus

• Knowledge of current financial regulations and standards is necessary

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly is required.
