The Security Assessment Engineer will be responsible for evaluating various projects, technologies, and capabilities within the Air Force Intelligence Community (AF IC). Key responsibilities and requirements include:

HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Air Force Security Tools Experience: Strong familiarity with Air Force-specific security tools and protocols, ensuring compliance with AF security standards and practices.

  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF): Demonstrated expertise in RMF processes and tools such as XACTA and eMASS, ensuring systems and applications meet AF IC policies and regulations.

  • Project and Technology Assessment Expertise: Proven experience in assessing projects, technologies, and capabilities to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, cybersecurity experts, and other stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.

  • Active Directory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Active Directory and its integration with cybersecurity measures to manage access and identities within the organization.

  • TEMPEST and SCIF Accreditation Experience: Experience with TEMPEST standards and SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) accreditation processes to ensure systems are protected against electronic eavesdropping, compromising emanations, and meet all security requirements for secure facilities.

  • Self-Driven and Eager to Learn: A proactive attitude with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies, adapting to the evolving cybersecurity landscape.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Technical Training, Certification(s), or Bachelor in IT or related field. Professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Required Experience: 7+ years of related experience.

  • IAT or IAM Level III certification required: CISSP (or Associate), CASP+, CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.

  • TS/SCI Clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
