The Financial Services Division *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Budget Policy Manager* (WMS Band 3) position. This position is locatedin our *Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"} Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer, who reports to the agency Director and serves as the key budget policy advisor to both the Director and Chief Financial Officer. This responsibility will encompass the entire agency and significantly influences all aspects of the agency's biennial budget and programs. You will influence decision-making within the Governor's Office and with the Legislature and other interested parties. As the Budget Policy Manager, you will work in cooperation with the agency's budget managers, fiscal managers, and colleagues to guarantee that budget policies are created and executed in a manner that upholds the financial integrity and credibility of the agency. You will be involved in obtaining and sustaining the backing and confidence of agency leadership, colleagues, OFM/Legislature, and other interested parties by leveraging personal skills and expertise to secure voluntary cooperation and teamwork. You will play a crucial role in giving expert advice on financial management, especially when dealing with complex issues that impact various parts of the organization. Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
