Position summary:

We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in Switzerland, responsible for supporting the commercial and sourcing activity for our Contract Manufacturing business.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a global level by using strategic sourcing processes, tools, policies and collaborating cross-functionally with the business unit stakeholders.

A day in a life of a Global Procurement Manager for Contract Manufacturing:

• Support the Global Category Manager in implementing the category strategy by using Strategic Sourcing processes, tools, and policies.

• Support the Nestlé business by autonomously managing strategic contract manufacturers to ensure cost improvement plans, sustainable performance, quality, and innovation.

• Lead all sourcing activities related to the launch of new products through contract manufacturers keeping in mind the key business objectives (launch date, scouting potential suppliers, leading the selection process, and driving the commercial negotiation until contract signature).

• Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the contract manufacturing strategy.

• Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop appropriate procurement models to identify cost reduction opportunities, so creating a competitive environment for Nestlé’s needs.

• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the supplier market related to contract manufacturing for the product portfolio of the appropriate Nestlé business unit.

• Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

What makes you successful:

• University Honours degree in Procurement/Supply Chain or equivalent.

• Solid proven experience in sourcing, supplier management or strategic procurement in the Contract Manufacturing category, ideally in the food, beverage and confectionary sector. An experience in commodities would be also appreciated.

• Strong flexibility and mental agility to represent procurement successfully and be able to demonstrate added value in key meetings with business units, R&D, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.

• Rich experience in managing supplier development initiatives to improve supplier competitiveness, cost reduction, and capturing innovation with suppliers in Contract Manufacturing.

• Demonstrate successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a complex and fast-moving organization operating in multiple countries.

• Fluency in English.
