Position Title: Charter Sales CoordinatorReports To: Director of Charter SalesPosition Location: Remote or in-office (Thermal, CA)
Position Summary The Charter Sales Coordinator is responsible for growing wholesale revenue utilizing Desert Jet’s managed charter fleet. A successful candidate will be expected to have excellent negotiation and prospecting skills, must demonstrate an overall high motivation for selling, have top-notch presentation skills and have a high energy level. We are looking for individuals that can work independently and are self-motivating, outgoing, well-organized, and personable. The candidate must be able to provide a high level of professionalism and customer service and have the desire to succeed at sales. Charter Sales Coordinators are responsible for the complete sales cycle of a private charter flight starting with the initial opportunity, qualification, quoting, payment, and fulfillment, in addition to client and logistical services of the flight. This position does require working weekends, holidays, and non-standard office hours.
Ability to judge and communicate charter market supply and demand trends
Understand dynamic pricing principles as they relate to the charter jet marketplace
Accurately quote wholesale partners to achieve revenue and utilization targets
Understand the fundamentals of flight operations and basic regulations within the National Airspace System
Understand costs, permits, limitations and other factors in international flight operations
Build and maintain relationships within the Part 135 brokerage community
Operate independently within guidelines as set by management as well as in a team environment
Ability to remain calm under high pressure and stress
Provide exceptional customer service to high touch individuals
Always maintain a high degree of professionalism
High attention to detail and process
Solution-based attitude and ability to creatively problem solve
Ability to negotiate unemotionally and effectively Strong multitasking and prioritization skillsUnderstand dynamic pricing as it relates to Desert Jet KPI s and goals set by management
Work efficiently and effectively with all Desert Jet systems including JetInsight, Avinode, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, DocuSign and others.
Other projects and tasking as assigned by Management
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred, but not required
2 years of experience working in a Part 135 aviation environment, with 2+ years in charter sales preferred
Proficient knowledge of FAA Part 135 regulations
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Strong work ethic and collaborative mindset
High degree of moral and ethical fortitude
Positive attitude with an eagerness to build a fun and rewarding work environment
