Aerotek Maintenance Technician in La Porte, Indiana

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This is an all-encompassing maintenance position in a manufacturing facility. The plant features various components including a wax casting area, heat treat machines, furnaces, chain conveyors, robots, and vacuum systems. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of all facility components within the site. This may also include minor facilities work or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Work on various presses and different components of various machines.

  • Troubleshoot and repair issues to ensure production resumes promptly.

  • Perform tasks such as removing a motor or gearbox, replacing it with a new one, troubleshooting the fixed component, and returning it to the maintenance shelf.

  • Set robots back to 'home' position as required to perform other tasks in the department.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience with pumps, gearboxes, and solenoids.

  • 5 years of electrical troubleshooting experience with 3-phase 480V systems, motors, prox switches, and VFDs.

  • Ability to read prints and perform preventive maintenance.

  • Experience with electrical maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of La Porte, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
