Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This is a maintenance role in a food manufacturing company. The Maintenance Technician will primarily be responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and maintenance on bakery equipment. Common equipment includes ovens, mixers, conveyors, pneumatic delivery systems, and extrusion machines. The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose and resolve issues on the production line, such as adjusting the phone-eye/sensor on machines.

Additionally, the technician may be responsible for some fabrication work, including welding stainless steel materials to create covers for machines or catches for excess product. The primary focus will be on performing PMs to prevent reactive breakdowns.

This is a fully on-site position in La Porte, Indiana.

Work Environment

Food manufacturing company. Clean.

Hours: 2nd shift, 3 PM - 11:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch). The company operates 24/7, and the technician will work 5 days/week with days off determined by bidding. Expect to work roughly 48-52 hours/week.
