Description We are inviting applications for the position of Staff Accountant located in La Jolla, California. The role primarily involves managing financial transactions, maintaining general ledger, and handling accounts payable and receivable. The candidate will also be responsible for bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close tasks. The role is a part of the accounting industry and requires proficiency in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of external vendor bills and invoices, ensuring all necessary verifications and approvals are obtained for payment.

• Ensure all invoices and expense reports are in compliance with firm policies and procedures.

• Accurately code invoices and input them into the General Ledger.

• Maintain up-to-date vendor relations and information.

• Generate reports as requested by managers or vendors and provide necessary information.

• Offer administrative and clerical support as needed.

• Maintain a working knowledge of customer and client payment processing.

• Operate computer terminals to effectively post and retrieve information.

• Ensure key information is entered with speed and accuracy.

• Perform other accounting/billing duties and projects as assigned. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to maintain General Ledger

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Month End Close activities

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
