WorkSource Oregon TRAFFIC CONTROL FLAGGERS in LA GRANDE, Oregon
Certified Personnel Service Agency has prevailing wage flagging positions available throughout The Dallas, La Grande, and Eastern Oregon areas. Hours vary depending on project needs, could average 30+ hours per week. Requirements: - At least one (1) year or more verifiable flagging experience - ODOT Flagger Certification card (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Montana) - Eighteen (18) years of age or older Job Duties: - Receive and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously - Move and maneuver quickly in order to avoid danger from errant vehicles - Understand and apply safe traffic control practices - Control signaling devices in order to provide clear and positive guidance to drivers approaching a work zone in frequently changing situations - Recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury - Control traffic flows in construction areas using paddles and two-way radios - Be safety conscious and have the ability to follow safety procedures - Follow directions - Work in all weather conditions - rain, snow, hot, cold, windy, etc. - Stand for the entire shift, anywhere from 2 to 12 hours - Work and stand on any surface: bend or twist and use arms and hands for the entire shift: reach above head: and lift and carry 20 lbs - Operate two-way radios and hand-held CB radio - Other duties as assigned Employer Notes: - Have reliable transportation to get to and from various job sites - Willing to travel is a plus - Employer will conduct pre-employment and random drug tests - Hours will vary depending on employers\' needs - Experience preferred Certified Personnel Service is an Equal Opportunity employer.
