WorkSource Oregon Kitchen Assistant in LA GRANDE, Oregon
The Kitchen Assistant helps the Cooks in basic food preparation, washes dishes, pots and pans, cleans equipment, and performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma or GED. * Food Handler\'s Card or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of accepting position. * Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check. * A valid Oregon driver\'s license. JOB DUTIES: * Assists cooks as requested. This will include such items as preparing vegetables, baking, making coffee, preparing salads, preparing meals for home-delivery, and setting tables. * Washes dishes, pots and pans, and other equipment. * Washes and mops floors, cleans walls, cupboards, and shelves in kitchen. * Organizes stock, to include opening boxes and putting away product. * Issues supplies from stockroom, refrigerators, freezers, and other storage areas. * Assists in inventory and stock control. * May transport prepared food to meal sites. * Assist with catering including prep, set-up, delivery, serving, and clean-up. * Other duties as assigned. HOURS: * Monday - Friday * 11- 19 hours per week depending on need. CLOSING DATE: * Open until filled.
