Job Summary:

This person will participate in our company’s product development process through maintaining and improving software tools used by our subject matter experts (SME) and product support team. This opportunity will provide exposure to a variety of practical assignments, which could include new engineering software development, maintenance of existing software tools, and analytics/data science. This position is flexible with the ability to shift the core roles and responsibilities based on skills that share your same interests. This internship requires year-round availability while attending school full time. Preferred candidates would have completed their sophomore year with at least two school years remaining. Hours are flexible, but applicants must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer and breaks.

This position has been designated as onsite .

Key Competencies:

  • Maintain and document engineering software tools for product development.

  • Work with team members in agile/scrum process to track tasks.

  • Plan and develop technology upgrades for engineering software tools.

  • Develop, maintain, and document CI/CD pipeline.

Physical Effort:

  • Typical office environment spending most of their time using computers. Accommodations will be evaluated where needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

  • Overall GPA 3.0 or above.

  • Demonstrated collaboration/leadership skills such as school club officer, team captain, resident advisor, or leader of a service organization.

  • Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.

  • Passion for solving problems with data and technology.

  • Experience in UI development with Windows Forms a plus.

  • Experience with .NET, Fortran, VB, or C# a plus.

  • Passion for continuous learning and willingness to adapt to changing environments.
