Schedule Weekly Hours:36 Gundersen Health System is seeking a Polysomnographic Tech for our Sleep Lab to join our dedicated and passionate team in scenic La Crosse, WI. It is who we are.Job Description: The Polysomnographic Technician prepares patients and monitoring equipment to perform sleep studies on patients as ordered by a physician.Major Responsibilities: 1. Works with inpatients and outpatients/family members of Gundersen Health System to perform Polysomnogram (PSG), with or without Positive Airway Pressure (PAP), Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), ensuring accurate, and efficient, polysomnographic evaluation. 2. Provides patient education and overall support/comfort during testing procedures. 3. Works with multidisciplinary health care team to facilitate services, give consultation/education, and generate/print accurate reports for the physician. 4. Responsible for knowledge and application of skills related to pattern recognition, sleep/wake stages, respiratory and Electrocardiogram (ECG) events, various medical and pharmacological changes, and electrical safety. 5. Responsible for maintaining accurate department documentation, and maintaining accurate documentation of archived material and patient schedules. 6. Responsible for maintaining of archived material and patient schedules for archiving patient testing. 7. Responsible for achieving and maintaining competency of the department\'s American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accreditation standard of continuing education and any mandated organizational employee education. 8.
