Ideal candidates will have a strong maintenance background, a good mechanical aptitude and are willing to learn new skills! Position Details: Shift hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30AM - 5:00PM. No weekends required! Required to be \"on-call\" once every 12 weeks. Maintain, repair and operate all Gundersen equipment located on the main clinic floors LL through the 2nd, as well as the La Crescent Clinic location. Tuition Investment Program Opportunity for promotions and advancementWhat you will need: High school diploma or equivalency Valid driver\'s license Click to learn more about life at Gundersen!Job Description: Perform overall maintenance, service and repair work on Clinic plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration facilities and equipment; assume independent responsibility for the overall maintenance of assigned Clinic facilities during off hours, weekends, and holidays when \"taking call\".Major Responsibilities: 1. Conduct periodic inspections of designated buildings and equipment; when necessary, repair and perform preventive maintenance on general building facilities and electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and equipment. 2. Respond to Clinic emergency maintenance calls after normal hours and on weekends and holidays; perform necessary repair work, which may include temporary repairs sufficient to secure the systems and facilities until permanent repairs feasible; notify appropriate personnel if further action is required. 3. Respond immediately to fire alarm systems; disengage electrical, water, or gas systems to protect building occupants and property. 4. Perform or assist with major and minor repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment as needed. 5. Advise management of general condition of facilities and equipment and any unusual problems or concerns that may arise; make recommendations for facilities improvements or upgrades. 6. Maintain appropriate documentation of maintenance and repair records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and codes. 7. Carries a Medical Examiner\'s Certificate at all times while driving a commercial motor vehicle. 8. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
