V2X FACC Dispatcher in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands
Overview
This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP
Under supervision of Emergency Service Dispatcher Supervisor, this position is responsible for receiving emergency information and dispatching emergency services personnel. Functions primarily as a call-taker telecommunicator and is responsible for receiving, recording, and effectively managing requests for ambulance assistance/transport from various sources. Dispatches emergency personnel to situations requiring critical response. Reads posted orders to ascertain personnel requirements and notifies personnel of work assignments and changes in instructions by telephone or radio. Posts assignment information on dispatch board. May issue regular and special equipment to emergency personnel. May contact emergency personnel to verify assignment locations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High school diploma or equivalent. Must provide a copy of the diploma
Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience:
Must have telecommunications experience or at least one (1) year of experience as an EMS or public safety dispatcher.
Skills:
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required.
Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone. Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.

Determine and assign the level of priority of the call and enter the data into a computer-aided dispatch system for radio dispatch purposes
Perform emergency medical dispatch and crisis intervention services
Ask vital questions and provide pre-arrival instructions for emergency medical calls
Monitor and operate a radio console and computer equipment
Receive and respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency services and complaints
Ask questions to interpret, analyze and anticipate the caller’s situation as to resolve problems, provide information, dispatch emergency services, or refer callers to other agencies
Dispatch and coordinate the responses of public safety agencies
Identify appropriate number and type of equipment or apparatus to dispatch
Enter and modify information into computer databases
Monitor and respond to a variety of technical systems and alarms
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
